Canton events
On September 11th and 12th we will be holding our annual Barleycorn event...with a triumphant return to our old site! Join us in celebrating The Return of John Barleycorn
Within our proud borders we will be sponsoring the fourth Warrior's Naadam on the weekend of October 15th to October 17th. This Mongol themed event is hosted by the Silver Horde and EK official details may be found here and similar details from the Silver Horde site here.
And as the evenings grow sooner in the day there will be a gathering of music, a "Musicians Day" at the Blue Mountain Trail Lodge. For more details.
There will be as always Bear`s Tavern... Details will be posted as soon as available. "Watch this space!"
We will also be holding the third (not annual) Dance Academy and Ball in the Canton of Northpass in May 2011. There will be dancing and music and dancing and games and dancing and classes and dancing and great company of course... DANCING! Details will be posted soon...
Nearby events
We have two upcoming demos in our provence... The Queens County Fair Demo will be on September 25th and 26th. This gathering allows us to showcase the finest of the arts and arms of Østgarðr across from a pig race with a carney announcer. It really shows off the A in SCA. For details.
The next upcoming demo is at the Fort Tryon Ren Faire /Medieval Festival on October 3rd. We are surrounded with other groups who aim for the same times and places we recreate with an expected attendance of 40,000! For more details.
Kingdom events
Beyond all of the activity locally, we are looking forward to our newest king and queen on September 25th... It may not be so clear and simple. I for one will be there to see the end of the happenings of the day! For more details.
